You'll find me in the fetal position...

You know those times where you just want to hug your knees to your chest, while rocking back and forth and sucking your thumb?

If I could type while doing that, I would be.

Addison is super chill and such a sweet baby but stopped sleeping through the night abruptly about six weeks ago, and has been waking up several times a night. And the ONLY way we could get her back to sleep is rocking and/or feeding her. So we are very, very tired.

At our pediatrician's recommendations, we are back to the good 'ol Ferber Method of CIO. Please don't tell me I'm cruel and heartless or you will make me cry. No parent wants to sit and hear their baby cry but I also realize that, like Carter, if we don't do this soon, we will have a[nother] child that wakes up til her first birthday. It sucks, big time. But a few nights of misery for many, many nights of restful sleep for the whole family is what the doctor ordered, so it was time.

We began last night and, as we predicted, she gave us a SERIOUS run for our money. When we Ferberized Carter, the longest he cried was like 22 minutes or something.

Her? TWO. AND. A. HALF. HOURS. Persistent.

We cold-turkeyed her from the bottle, the full swaddle (well, we had her in the sleep sack swaddle, but with the swaddle part wrapped around her chest/torso with her arms out), and rocking in one night, so we anticipated it wouldn't be nice before we even got into bed. She began to fuss at 11 p.m. If you're not familiar with the Ferber Method, it is not just letting them scream and scream until they fall asleep. You go in at increasing intervals, comfort and pat them, and then leave again--without picking them up. For night one, you start with three minutes, then five, then ten, and so on.

She fell asleep briefly many, many times over the two and a half hours, but EVERY TIME, her startle reflex (when does this end?!?!?) would send her arms shooting up into the air and begin the crying again.

At the two and a half hour mark and the point in which my blood pressure/heart rate were higher than I thought imaginable, I simply walked into the room and without saying a word, tucked her arms down in her swaddle and she was out like a light til morning. Hmmm. We're at a loss if we should keep her swaddled or try every night without it in attempt to get her weaned from it. Basically, we have no idea. We'll have to see how tonight goes.

Thankfully, she woke up this morning happy as a lark--albeit a bit hoarse--and was ready for the day!

Anyway, I wanted to write this down so I can look back someday (hopefully like next week...ha!) and be thankful this season is in the past.

[Prayers appreciated.]

[Oh, and coffee.]

Pregnancy Highlights: 36 Weeks

How far along: 36 weeks. She is 18.5 inches long and is now over 6 pounds (or if you're our kid, probably like 7 or 8. Just kidding.) :)

Total weight gain/loss: 25ish pounds

Maternity clothes: Yep...and only a few weeks left to figure out what in the world I'm going to wear! Thank God!

Best moment this week: I got her baby book, some baby girl toys, and organized her nursery to death! Plus, my mom and grandma came and deep-cleaned the entire house. So thankful for this--we're being type A and keeping it super clean til she arrives so we won't have to stress about this. Thanks, mom and gram! I also packed our hospital bags a little bit -- I at least got Addison's stuff packed and some of Carter's for his overnights at Gramma and Pa's house.

Gender: We all know this by now.

Movement: Mostly side to side now. She is unable to move otherwise. The Braxton Hicks are insane, though!

Food cravings: Subway, cereal...

What I miss: Not being pregnant? :)

Sleep: Standard...just okay. Nothing to brag about, that's for sure!

What I am looking forward to: Being full-term at the end of this week. Then, she can come whenever she wants. Plus, Seth finishes school this week!!

Symptoms: We'll skip this so I don't become negative. :)

She'll be here soon -- less than a month to go!

Pregnancy Highlights: 35 Weeks

How far along: 35 weeks. She is over 18 inches long and now tips the scales at over 5 pounds.

Total weight gain/loss: 25 pounds

Maternity clothes: Yes, though I did find 2 non-maternity skirts to squeeze into for the next few weeks. And I have several opportunities to swim before she's born so I'm rocking my non-maternity one-piece, which I think is safe to say will be ruined after this from stretching. Oh well...

Best moment this week: Seth and I went to Target and got a bunch of things Addison will need that we never had for a girl -- some blankets, pink pacis, etc. I still have a bunch of stuff I need to get but one of my friends gave me a TON of breastfeeding supplies she had leftover so that took all that stuff off the list! Plus, I had a chance to work in her nursery some more. I have almost all the clothes washed and hung (in size order, of course), and am organizing like crazy. I framed the artwork this weekend and we'll be trying to get that up soon as well.

Gender: Please God, let it be a girl. :) Everything is so girly. haha.

Movement: Lots of Braxton Hicks and lots of her squeezing in a ball and then promptly stretching out. OUCH!

Food cravings: Nothing really...though I do love Subway's grilled chicken sub pretty much right now.

What I miss: Any sort of down time and being comfortable :)

Sleep: I've been getting SO HOT lately which is making sleep pretty annoying without freezing the rest of the family. And last night, I am NOT exaggerating, Carter was up 10 times saying he was "all done" sleeping so I'm a big groggy now. One of my biggest fears is seriously another baby who doesn't sleep mixed with a toddler who doesn't sleep.

What I am looking forward to: Super-cleaners, mom and grandma, are coming to help clean my house on Friday AND I hope to finish her nursery this week. We got a bunch of stuff out of the attic (car seat, etc.), so I plan to start working on some of that stuff as well.

Symptoms: Pressure, swelling on work days, dizziness occasionally, stretch marks...you know, the fun end-of-pregnancy stuff. :)

She'll be here soon -- only FIVE weeks to go!!!

Pregnancy Highlights: 34 Weeks

How far along: 34 weeks. She is about 18 inches long, and is roughly 4 3/4 pounds. The doctor did do an external measurement (guesstimate) on her and said that she doesn't THINK she'll be much bigger than Carter was. That would be awesome since, you know, he WAS over eight pounds! :)

Total weight gain/loss: 24 pounds

Maternity clothes: For sure, though still rocking non-maternity short sleeves when I can! Wishing I could wear some sundresses, but I would never subject the world to these swollen legs/ankles. Nasty!

Best moment this week: We finally have the nursery arranged, painted, etc. Now is the time for the fun stuff - setting up, decorating, washing clothes, etc. I need help.......mom. :)

Gender: still a girl :)

Movement: Lots but she surely has to be running out of room. She is head down, so most of what I feel is a baby bottom and tiny little feet poking out of my stomach!

Food cravings: Nothing really...I have moments where I'm STARVING though.

What I miss: Having nothing to do!

Sleep: Aside from the 1000 bathroom breaks, shockingly not so bad.

What I am looking forward to: Finishing off the nursery, and pedicure and shopping day with one of my best friends who is due 2 days after me. We're gonna waddle our way through Babies R Us for those last-minute things we need!

Symptoms: Still the soreness (ohmyword, the soreness....ahem), swelling, indigestion again.

SIX WEEKS!!!! I can practically taste the sleep deprivation. ;)

Pregnancy Highlights: 33 Weeks

How far along: 33 weeks. She is over 17 inches long, and is over 4 pounds already!!

Total weight gain/loss: I have my next appt. on Thursday, but my guess would be maybe 23-24??

Maternity clothes: Yes, and I finally broke down and went to Motherhood Maternity yesterday and bought four short-sleeved shirts. That's the very last thing I'm buying, even if it means I wear those exact same four shirts for the next seven-ish weeks.

Best moment this week: The nursery is painted and things are starting to get set up now!! Seth put the crib back together, and I've put the crib skirt and bumpers in! I also did my first load of baby girl laundry to begin hanging in her closet.

Gender: still a girl :)

Movement: Still crazy and she's now begun balling up in my ribs. It's a good time. :) I just feel so uncomfortable - I'm not sure how she's positioned but I'm going to ask the doctor on Thursday. Sometimes I feel like she's left to right rather than up and down. Ouch!

Food cravings: None really...except on Mother's Day when I needed a brownie and my good husband ran to the grocery store to get my something comparable from the bakery section.

What I miss: A calm night, a weekend with no plans, laying around reading. haha :)

Sleep: Eh. Last night was fairly good considering I only got up one time to go to the bathroom. But Mr. Carter is STILL getting up at 5:15. Must...nip...that...in...the...bud...before...Addison.

What I am looking forward to: We're going away this weekend for our last hurrah with Carter by taking him camping. I know, we're crazy. But we want to spend special time with him and the options were limited since I'm on call for work next week through the end of the month.

Symptoms: Still the soreness, swelling, and general discomfort.

Seven weeks to go!!!

Tuesday, May 8, 2012

Pregnancy Highlights: 32 Weeks

How far along: 32 weeks. She is almost 17 inches long, and is 3.75 pounds already!! She now has toenails, fingernails, and hair.

Total weight gain/loss: 22 pounds. And according to Baby Center, it is now common to gain 1 pound per week. Ugh. :)

Maternity clothes: Yes, though I'm squeezing in non-maternity clothes on the warm days so I don't sweat to death.

Best moment this week: Getting to celebrate my baby love's 2nd birthday! :)

Gender: Girl. Add-in-son, according to her big brother!
Movement: Sometimes it takes my breath away she's so crazy in there!

Food cravings: None this week.

What I miss: Relaxing at night. I feel like there's always something to do - you know, like prep a nursery, organize, etc.

Sleep: I have good and bad nights. I was so exhausted this past weekend I slept pretty well, but some nights are very rough.

What I am looking forward to: We're FINALLY painting the nursery this week. The paint and all supplies were purchased last night and I fully intend to complete it before the weekend is over. I'd like to start setting things up!

Symptoms: General soreness and swollen legs/ankles at the end of the day

Eight weeks to go!!!

Tuesday, May 1, 2012

Pregnancy Highlights: 31 Weeks

How far along: 31 weeks. She is almost 16 inches long, and is over 3 pounds already!!

Total weight gain/loss: 22 pounds. Um, that was a big 2 weeks, though I blame it on girls weekend in Baltimore - Cheesecake Factory, Uno Pizza, etc. It was inevitable. :)

Maternity clothes: Yes, though I'm squeezing in non-maternity clothes on the warm days so I don't sweat to death.

Best moment this week: I got to go on an overnight girls trip to Baltimore with my sister and two friends while the boys bonded at home. We ate out, relaxed, walked around the Harbor, talked, got in the hot tub (except Addison and I), etc. It was a lot of fun!

Gender: Hopefully girl, or he'll be wearing a lot of pink. ;)

Movement: Constantly! She rolls and rolls, though I can tell she's running out of room because now when she rolls, my entire stomach goes lopsided. You can always tell where her head is and where her little baby bum is too.

Food cravings: Cereal. Lucky Charms, Cocoa Crispies, Corn Pops. Mmmm.

What I miss: Sleeping.

Sleep: Not so good - I just cannot get comfortable no matter what!!!

What I am looking forward to: C-man's birthday party is this Saturday!! I am so excited for it and to celebrate two years of surviving being a mom. :) His party is Mickey Mouse, and I'm now praying for good weather. Also, after his party (well not RIGHT after, but in the days following), we'll remove the guest bed from the nursery and GET.TO.WORK!!!

Symptoms: General soreness everywhere, hip pain, and serious swollen legs/ankles at the end of the day. Oddly enough, the days where I sit and am not on my feet as much are WAYYYY worse. The doctor said this is because your belly rests on the tops of your legs when sitting and cuts of circulation to your legs. Hmm, interesting. I was far less swollen walking around on girls weekend than already today at 10:55 a.m. at work. Go figure!

Single digit weeks to go! WOO HOO!!

Tuesday, April 24, 2012

Pregnancy Highlights: 30 Weeks

How far along: 30 weeks. She is almost 16 inches long, and is over 3 pounds already!!

Total weight gain/loss: 18 pounds.

Maternity clothes: Obviously...

Best moment this week: Picking out paint for A's nursery and starting to feel like I'm making some progress. I also went through some of McKenna's baby clothes with Michelle and my mom...she's got lots of cute summer clothes now! :)

Gender: Hopefully girl, or he'll be wearing a lot of pink. ;)

Movement: I can see boney little elbows and tiny feet poking out of my stomach, usually on my left side, and sometimes very crazily!!

Food cravings: Not really "craving" anything, though the only snack I'm really into right now is cereal.

What I miss: A feeling of energy. :)

Sleep: Really bad. Carter has been doing okay, though has had 2 rough nights in a row - seems like he has a sore throat and/or cold of some sort. Had a fever on Sunday, which thankfully seems to have broken. But besides the getting up for him 3 times a night, I also go to the bathroom 3 other times, so you do the math. The "in between" sleep is few and far between.

What I am looking forward to: Getting to work on my nesting list! I already started touching up paint, vacuuming curtains and stuff like that, but I have plenty more to do!

Symptoms: Puffiness, a general feeling of soreness all over my whole body, lack of sleep...but I keep in mind this is all temporary, and we only have 10 weeks to go!!! :)

Tuesday, April 17, 2012

Pregnancy Highlights: 29 Weeks

How far along: 29 weeks, and according to my handy-dandy book on pregnancy, now into month SEVEN already. Crazy!! Addison is now 15 inches long and about 2.5 pounds (or slightly more probably). Her muscles and lungs are continuing to mature, and her head is growing bigger to make room for her developing brain. This trimester, about 250 milligrams of calcium are deposited in her skeleton each day (which explains my need for cereal with TONS OF MILK!).

Total weight gain/loss: (came back and updated 4/18) 18 pounds, which she said is fabulous, so I'll take it!

Maternity clothes: Yes, and quickly running out of season-appropriate ones. I think I'll be hitting up some maternity consignment shops for some short sleeves or else it's going to be a verrrrry long next few weeks.

Best moment this week: Carter has slept through the night (though he's been doing SO well, he's still had the occasional fuss to be covered or something) in his big boy bed AND has needed to be woken up a few times to go to school. Thank God!!!

Gender: girl, though I had a dream it was a boy. I think we should just pay to get a fun ultrasound to be sure....riiiiiight honey?

Movement: All the time. It's cool because we can now tell where her head is and where the rest of her body is as well.

Food cravings: Cereal

What I miss: Sleeping well, not going to the bathroom every 20 minutes.

Sleep: Rough.

What I am looking forward to: Her bedding is being delivered tomorrow, then it's time to pick out the paint and get to work on her nursery. I've also made a short list of things we need to get before she arrives, so I'll start tackling that. And, unrelated to pregnancy, but I'm looking forward to C's 2nd birthday party. I've been doing lots of fun things for it, and am running out of time since I'll be gone the weekend before his party, so I need to pick up the pace!

Symptoms: Major puffiness (I'm sensing no dresses and/or shorts in my near pregnant future...I'm preparing to die of heat now)...the rings are already off. :( I don't think they'd need to be permanently off yet but they got tight on Sunday so I removed them as a precaution. I'm nervous to put them back on - would HATE to get them cut off. Also, starting to get super tired again...

Tuesday, April 10, 2012

Pregnancy Highlights: 28 Weeks

How far along: 28 weeks (though I originally wrote this whole post as though it was 29 - whoops!). She's nearly 15 inches long, and can now see light through the womb! HELLO, third trimester! :)

Total weight gain/loss: At last check, 15 pounds, but who knows what it is now. I don't have another appointment until 4/18.

Maternity clothes: Of course.

Best moment this week: Getting Carter transitioned to his big boy bed, switching all the furniture between his and Addison's room, and ordering A's bedding FINALLY!
Gender: girl

Movement: Constantly, and always when I'm ready to sleep. Yep, she's a Ran child. :)

Food cravings: I'm sort of into cereal right now, though wouldn't call it a craving.

What I miss: I still miss the sleeping. I just cannot get comfortable, the right temperature, or to a point where my bladder doesn't feel the constant need to explode.

Sleep: See above.

What I am looking forward to: Getting A's bedding in the mail so we can pick out paint colors and get things underway!!!

Symptoms: Hands falling asleep, puffiness at the end of the day (ALREADY!! UGH!), some indigestion.

Tuesday, April 3, 2012

Pregnancy Highlights: 27 Weeks

How far along: 27 weeks. She's 14.5 inches long, and is now opening and shutting her eyes and sucking on her fingers.

Total weight gain/loss: At last check, 15 pounds, but who knows what it is now.

Maternity clothes: Of course.

Best moment this week: Seeing Carter have an Easter egg hunt and open his basket from gramma and pa--he is obsessed with his new diggers. Addison got a basket too!

Gender: girl

Movement: All the time, and hard! She's fiestier than Carter. Oh boy.

Food cravings: Nothing.

What I miss: Nice hair, sleeping.

Sleep: Next question, please.

What I am looking forward to: I'm almost in my 3rd trimester, and I HOPE to seriously be starting the nursery soon. My word, I'm behind.

Symptoms: Same lovely cocktail of heartburn, indigestion, and shortness of breath.

Glucose tolerance test results

YAY! I passed!

And also, go figure, my iron levels are good. Who knows what all this weakness/dizziness is about? They are in the "good" range, though she said they aren't too far from being at the low levels. She said my body could just require more iron than some others.

Tuesday, March 27, 2012

Pregnancy Highlights: 26 Weeks

How far along: 26 weeks. She's 14 inches long, and is beginning to hear our voices now!

Total weight gain/loss: 15 pounds

Maternity clothes: Of course.

Best moment this week: Seeing my belly start moving! It's so cool that it's this early because it definitely wasn't with Carter. Also, we got to meet Cooper this past weekend. Such a cutie!

Gender: Hopefully still a girl, though I do get the occasional panic attack that she'll come out a he. Ultrasounds make me nervous. haha.

Movement: I feel her constantly when I'm not super busy and focused on something else. She also likes to move a ton when I'm ready to go to sleep. Figures, though. ;)

Food cravings: Absolutely nothing. Still scared of heartburn/indigestion.

What I miss: Sleeping fully on my belly and SLEEPING.

Sleep: Well, last night I got a refreshing 4 hours of sleep because there is a cute little toddler who I think may be teething. In those 4 hours, I went to the bathroom about 3198 times, so suffice it to say, I'm not sleeping too well.

What I am looking forward to: My sister is keeping C-man Saturday to Sunday, so Seth and I are going out with friends Saturday night for some down time. Oh, and sleep. I wish pregnant people could take NyQuil. Just sayin'...

Symptoms: Still the mix of heartburn, indigestion, dizziness, weakness, shortness of breath, exhaustion (not at the same time). I should get my gestational diabetes results and my iron level results back this week so we'll see if there's anything I can do when I find this info out.

Is it too soon to start a countdown (I just don't like being pregnant!!)??? 14 weeks!! Woo hoo!

Tuesday, March 20, 2012

Pregnancy Highlights: 25 Weeks

How far along: 25 weeks. She's about 13.5 inches long and a pound and a half already!!

Total weight gain/loss: Hmm, I didn't realize it but I guess that wasn't the best month since my last appt. I gained a little over 4, for a total gain of 15.

Maternity clothes: Of course.

Best moment this week: Feeling her move like crazy from the outside (and Seth too!). She is way squirmier than Carter was at this point, though with Carter, I did have an anterior placenta, so there's a chance he was just as squirmy and I just couldn't feel it quite as much!

Gender: Girl...Addison Elizabeth.

Movement: All the time. She tumbles, kicks, and punches to her heart's content!

Food cravings: Well, I'm terrified of heartburn and indigestion now, so I'm not really craving anything. But I'm officially eating red sauce, chocolate, and citrus in moderation, that's for sure!

What I miss: The general feeling of being comfortable. :) haha!

Sleep: Still surviving, though still exhausted.

What I am looking forward to: We get to meet our nephew, Cooper, this weekend!!!!! And, the gorgeous weather we've been having can continue - I am really looking forward to tons of outside play time with Carter!

Symptoms: (these are not all the time, but things I've experienced this week) Heartburn, indigestion, dizziness, weakness, shortness of breath, exhaustion (can't pointpoint this to the pregnancy, the toddler, something else, or a combination of all of the above). I actually get a round of bloodwork done tomorrow which will hopefully answer some questions I have about my iron levels. It seems as though I may have anemia. I am exhausted, short of breath, dizzy, and weak -- all seeming to point to iron-deficiency. Seth's solution is to eat red meat (specifically steak) every night. No thank you, love. :) My doctor's solution is to go to the emergency room every time I feel these things. And again I say, no thank you. I'm FINE, people. Just need some iron!!

Tuesday, March 13, 2012

Pregnancy Highlights: 24 Weeks

How far along: 24 weeks (and viable!)...she is now a foot long!

Total weight gain/loss: No appointment until 3/21, but I'm guessing around 12.

Maternity clothes: yeah...and I need to come up with some short sleeved options soon!

Best moment this week: She started kicking like crazy that we can feel from the outside!! And, my mom came and helped me organize for HOURS on Friday to prep her room (and our house) for another addition. Just need to take down the bed and get things moving along. Thanks, mom!

Gender: Girl...Addison Elizabeth. Grandma T made me a little nervous when she said "are we sure?" Until we verify at birth, nope, not really, but let's hope they're right! :)

Movement: Tons. I feel her kicks at belly button level and down. Very odd.

Food cravings: Nothing really...

What I miss: Standing up quickly. :)

Sleep: Standard. Non-existent and non-sufficient but we're surviving. ha!

What I am looking forward to: We have finally picked out her bedding, but just need to order it. Since we have no idea yet what she'll be sleeping in (unless we can miraculously get Carter officially moved to his big boy bed before July), there's not been much of a rush.

Symptoms: Heartburn, indigestion, starting to get ankle swelling ALREADY (yikes), dry skin, tons of pressure in lower back and other...areas. She seems to be SO LOW.

Tuesday, March 6, 2012

Pregnancy Highlights: 23 Weeks

How far along: 23 weeks...she is over 11 inches long and weighs as much as a large mango.

Total weight gain/loss: Not sure sure; more than 10, but not sure it's much more than that.

Maternity clothes: yeah

Best moment this week: I went shopping for Addison BY MYSELF and got her many cute things, including her first pair of shoes.

Gender: Girl...Addison Elizabeth

Movement: Moving all around. Seth didn't feel her this week, but we didn't really make an effort for him to feel her.

Food cravings: Iced tea. Mmmm.

What I miss: sleeping

Sleep: Hahahahaha, that's funny. Reference: here.

What I am looking forward to: Continuing our organization streak--we've been putting time in here and there each night and are making progress. I went to Walmart and bought all sorts of rubbermaid totes to do this, so there's no excuse now. Except the exhaustion. That's a little bit of an excuse.

Symptoms: The heartburn and indigestion will be the death of me.

Thursday, March 1, 2012

Baby Girl's Name is...

...Addison Elizabeth

We are excited that we finally came to our resolution (after a few "vetos" thrown in there for good measure). We can't wait to meet her in just a few months!!

Tuesday, February 28, 2012

Pregnancy Highlights: 22 Weeks

How Far Along: 22 weeks...she is 11 inches long and about the size of a spaghetti squash!

Total Weight Gain/Loss: 10-ish

Maternity Clothes: yeah

Best Moment this week: Seth may have felt her kick! More to come on that (with consistency). Oh, and Cooper, my nephew, was born. :)

Gender: Girl.

Movement: She's an active little thing, mostly during the day and when Seth pokes my stomach at night to wake her up (directly before I go to bed).

Food Cravings: Nothing at the moment.

What I miss: Caffeine!!!

Sleep: Sort of crappy again. Between the bladder, Carter fussing, not being able to get comfortable, and the extreme wind, it's been tough!

What I am looking forward to: Organizing! I'm champing at the bit to get that underway (bet you thought I mis-typed that, huh? It's not actually 'chomping at the bit' as people say - champing is correct...I was shocked when I learned this a few years ago!)

Symptoms: Headaches (but I think that might be from staring at the computer all day right now), heartburn and SERIOUS indigestion.

Tuesday, February 21, 2012

Pregnancy Highlights: 21 Weeks

How Far Along: 21 weeks...she is about 10.5 inches long and weighs almost a pound!

Total Weight Gain/Loss: As of this morning 10 point something...

Maternity Clothes: yeah

Best Moment this week: Picking out bedding...didn't order yet, but narrowing it down!

Gender: Girl.

Movement: She's an active little thing, mostly during the day. She sleeps at night. For now.

Food Cravings: No cravings right now. :)

What I miss: Sleeping fully on my belly. Still can do it with a slight tilt, but I miss the full-on belly sleeping.

Sleep: Ok for now, but starting to have depressing and weiiiiiird dreams. Last week, I dreamt that Seth was divorcing me, and last night, I dreamt that I bit (yes, bit) Bentley's muzzle off. Um, okay!?!?

What I am looking forward to: Starting to get some things ready for the nursery (this means lots of cleaning out of the guest room closet and dresser drawers...joy).

Symptoms: Nothing new...lower back pain and round ligament pain here and there, though that has died down a bit. My skin is pretty dry and so is my hair (which is SO OPPOSITE of my pregnancy with Carter). I also need to wash my face like a fiend lest I look like a 13-year-old girl. Awesome. :)

Tuesday, February 14, 2012

Pregnancy Highlights: 20 Weeks

How Far Along: 20 weeks - half way there!!! Not sure what baby is supposed to weigh (maybe like 9 oz.?) but the ultrasound estimated baby to weight around 12.

Total Weight Gain/Loss: At last formal check, 6 lbs.

Maternity Clothes: yeah

Best Moment this week: Finding out everything was healthy and normal at the ultrasound last week - I can get myself all worked up over these things, you know!

Gender: While we can hardly believe it, it's a GIRL! Carter is excited about his baby shish-er.

Movement: Lots.

Food Craving: We are just a few days out from the stomach flu, so no cravings right now. :)

What I miss: When we slept past 4:45 a.m. Hmm, when was that?!?!?!

Sleep: Alright. See above though. Our adorable little firstborn seems to want to spend maximum (and I do mean maximum) time with us each day. :)

What I am looking forward to: Things like figuring out the nursery, buying some mary janes, and finalizing baby girl's name! I think we've got it though!

Symptoms: Back and roung ligament pain. Same old, same old.

AND, coming tonight*, our very first photo (family, check out our photo site). I'm wearing red for Valentine's Day and it just feels right. HAHA. Plus, I made my "20 weeks" sign, and that's as far as we've gotten with this pregnancy yet, so we'll consider that a good sign.

*I've said this before; don't hold your breath. :)
